Bill Smith has been a licensed attorney in Michigan for over thirty (30) years, graduating from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School with Distinction where he also received the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship and, at graduation, the Alumni Distinguished Student award. Bill grew up in the City of Flint, attending Clark Elementary, Whittier Junior High, and Southwestern High School.
He graduated from the Flint campus of the University of Michigan.
Bill has been a long-time member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church and is a Gold Life member of the NAACP.
Prior to returning to private practice, he was General Counsel for Hurley Medical Center for almost 30 years and its Executive Vice President and General Counsel for over 15 years.
Bill focuses his law practice on Personal Injury, Employment, Civil Rights and Estate Planning.
